Consumer Price Index adjustments

Periodic Payments and Dollar Amounts in the Workers Compensation Act

Sections 25 and 25.2 of the Workers Compensation Act ("Act") requires the WCB to determine the percentage change in the Consumer Price Index and adjust those periodic payments of compensation referred to in section 25(3) of the Act, and to adjust dollar amounts in the Act referred to in section 25.2(1). These adjustments are made annually, effective January 1, 2008. These adjustments are authorized by a Board Minute. For more information, see Consumer Price Index FAQs.

Dollar Amounts in the Rehabilitation Services & Claims Manual

Dollar amounts contained in Rehabilitation Services & Claims Manual ("RS&CM") policies are also adjusted on an annual basis. The effective date of the adjustment for most amounts is January 1, 2008. These adjustments are authorized by Board Minutes.

Sections 17, 18 & Schedule C of the Act as it Read Immediately Prior to June 30, 2002

Section 35.2 of the Act requires the WCB to adjust dollar amounts in sections 17, 18 & schedule C of the Act as it read immediately prior to June 30, 2002. These adjustments are made annually, effective January 1, 2008. These adjustments are authorized by a Board Minute.
