Policy consultation

The Board of Directors governs WorkSafeBC and sets the policies and direction for the Board. The policy development process includes extensive consultation with stakeholders. The results of the policy consultation process are included in thoroughly researched public interest policy and regulation options, which are then considered by the Board of Directors.

The Policy and Regulation Division (PRD) conducts the consultation and presents the results to the Board of Directors. The PRD obtains stakeholder views through a number of means, including preparation and distribution of discussion papers. The PRD welcomes public comment on any policy issue being consulted on with stakeholders. Instructions on how to provide your comments are provided with each policy issue.
