The Board of Directors is requesting your input on the experience rating pilot program for the construction industry.
In place since January 2000, the program caps experience rating discounts and surcharges for employers in construction at 33.3 percent. Employers in other industries can earn discounts of up to 50 percent or pay surcharges of up to 100 percent, depending on their claim cost performance relative to other similarly sized firms in their industry.
Stakeholder responses will form part of the Assessment Department's evaluation of the program and will be considered in the development of a permanent program for 2004.
To participate in the consultation, please review the discussion paper (PDF 94kb) for the construction industry experience rating pilot project and complete and return the reply form by June 25, 2003, to:
