Proposed amendments to Item R5.48-1 of the Prevention Manual regarding occupational exposure limits for chemical substances have been released for consultation.
An overview document (PDF 98kb) has been prepared to highlight new regulatory requirements, which became effective on October 29, 2003 and provide a summary of the proposed policy changes.
Also available is a copy of the proposed policy amendments (PDF 926kb). Proposed deletions are identified with a strikethrough and additions are identified in bold.
As directed by the Board of Directors, interested parties will have an opportunity to comment on the proposed policy amendments during the public hearing scheduled for March 2004.
Stakeholders are also invited to provide comments on the proposed policy amendments directly to the Policy and Regulation Development Bureau as per the contact information below.
