Penalties: WorkSafe Magazine January/February
A list of recent administrative penalties imposed on employers by WorkSafeBC is published in each issue of WorkSafe Magazine.
The list of penalties by industry sector includes company names, penalty amounts, and a description and the location of the violations.
The January/February 2012 issue includes 65 penalties. Of note:
- 2 penalties were related to worker fatalities
- 41 penalties were related to lack of fall protection
- 7 penalties were related to asbestos and/or hazardous materials; some employers received multiple penalties
