WorkSafeBC app offers safety info on the go

Employers and workers with a passion for safety can make the most of their new iPhone by downloading WorkSafeBC’s Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Regulation app.

The free app allows users to search and browse the OHS Regulation, policies, guidelines, and WorkSafeBC standards anytime, anywhere on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch. Updates ensure users have access to the current version of the Regulation.

The app loads directly on to the device so users can access the information even in places where there is no wi-fi or cellular coverage, such as a remote worksite or a basement.

Later this fall, WorkSafeBC will launch a second app that allows users to access clearance letters that confirm that an employer is registered with WorkSafeBC and in good standing.

About the WorkSafeBC app:

  • Number of downloads to date: 2,200
  • Who is using it: contractors; safety professionals for municipalities, manufacturers and recyclers; equipment leasing and training companies; safety consultants; employer associations and unions; trades trainers; and heavy equipment operators
  • Where to find it: search for “WorkSafeBC” in the App Store on your iPhone
