Flood risk and response in the workplace

It’s the time of year in B.C. when some communities face increased risk of flooding as rivers levels rise due to spring runoff.

WorkSafeBC reminds employers that they are required to maintain a safe and healthy workplace. Should the area around your workplace there are risks associated with gas lines, power lines and electricity, unstable soil, sewage, sanitation, and water-borne bacteria and chemicals.
