In 2010, 143 B.C. workers lost their lives as a result of work-related incidents or occupational diseases.
On April 28, WorkSafeBC, along with the B.C. Federation of Labour and the Business Council of British Columbia, will co-host a public ceremony to remember these workers. The Day of Mourning ceremony will be held at the Jack Poole Plaza, Vancouver Convention Centre on Thursday, April 28, at 10:30 a.m.
