Richmond, B.C., September 29, 2009 “Think Twice Lift Once”, a joint ad campaign between WorkSafeBC and the BC Chiropractic Association, is entering its third year, and aims to increase awareness around back health and back injury prevention through an expanded program that now includes a distribution partnership with Acklands Grainger.
The pilot project will see campaign decals and information brochures distributed through the industrial supplier’s two Lower Mainland locations, to remind customers about the importance of proper lifting to prevent back injuries.
“The partnership with a heavy industry retailer was logical progressions in the campaign,” says Terri Holizki, WorkSafeBC’s manager of industry and labour services. “We don’t want Ackland Grainger’s customers, often workers doing heavy lifting, to become our customers.”
The retailer pilot program runs for the month of November.
Last year’s television and radio commercials will continue to air throughout the fall.
