WBGT°C
WBGT°C is the wet bulb globe temperature measured with a black globe thermometer (GT), wet-bulb thermometer (WB), and a dry thermometer (DB) and measured according to the equations (a) for indoor or outdoor environments with no solar load, WBGT°C = 0.7 WB + 0.3 GT, and (b) for outdoor environments with solar load, WBGT°C = 0.7 WB + 0.2 GT + 0.1 DB.

well
An opening in the ground which (a) is made or being made by drilling, boring, or in any other manner (i) for the purpose of obtaining oil, gas or crude bitumen or from which any oil, gas or crude bitumen is obtainable, (ii) for the purpose of developing or using a reservoir for the storage of natural gas, or (iii) for the purpose of obtaining geothermal energy, (b) is made or being made by drilling or boring for the purpose of obtaining water to inject into an underground formation, (c) is used, drilled or being drilled for the purpose of injecting gas, air, water, or other substance or a form of energy into an underground formation, (d) is an evaluation well, (e) is a test hole, or (f) is drilled or being drilled to a depth of more than 600 m (2 000 ft) to obtain geological or geophysical information.

wet location
An exterior or interior location in which uncontrolled liquid may drip, splash or flow on or against portable electrical equipment.

whole-body vibration
Vibration that is transmitted to a worker's body from vibrating surfaces on which a worker stands or sits.

work platform
An elevated or suspended temporary work base for workers.

work positioning
A form of fall restraint that holds a worker in a work position.

working load limit or Wll
The maximum weight or force which a product is authorized by the manufacturer to support in a particular service.

workplace label
A label that discloses a product identifier and information for the safe handling of a controlled product, and that indicates that an MSDS, if supplied or produced, is available.
