Community Brain Injury Support Services
Community Brain Injury Support Services are designed to help injured workers maintain skills in self-care, and productivity that allows them to live, participate, and work in their local community. These services are provided in home and community settings to help injured workers retain and improve independence and maintain positive relationships.
Services within the Community Brain Injury Support Services Agreement are for injured workers who have reached maximum medical recovery. These injured workers will no longer benefit from formal rehabilitation but require ongoing longer term behavioural, cognitive, physical, and/or functional support for integration into the community.
Referral process
- A written referral (Referral Form 83B150) is required for each worker referred for CBISS.
Invoicing requirements
- All invoices must be faxed to WorkSafeBC using the required invoice template (Form 83D128 — PDF version or Word version) to 604 233-9777 or toll free 1 888 922-8807.
- Questions regarding invoicing for services should be directed to the quality assurance supervisor or program manager in Health Care Services: 604 232-7787 or toll-free 1 888 967-5377, local 7787.

Fee schedule
To bill WorkSafeBC for your services, include only those fee items outlined in the following fee schedule (PDF 29kb).
View claim status
To view a patient’s claim status online you will need your payee number and their Personal Health Number and WorkSafeBC claim number.
