Payment for consultation reports

When a consultation report is sent to WorkSafeBC, it is registered and key information is entered into the computer system. In order for the payment process to work smoothly, it is important that key information contained in the report can be easily identified and is consistent with the information in the Teleplan billing. When a bill related to a report (e.g. fee item 19908) arrives at WorkSafeBC (through Teleplan), the computer checks to see if the report has been registered as received at WorkSafeBC. As well, the computer checks that the information (such as payee and date of service) is the same in the report and Teleplan billing.

The fax cover sheet (PDF 56kb) details the information needed to register the document. To ensure prompt payment, use this cover sheet when faxing consultation reports to WorkSafeBC. If you do not have all the information required, either obtain it from the patient or contact the WorkSafeBC Inquiry Call Centre.
