For services provided to injured workers, physicians will invoice WorkSafeBC electronically using HIBC's Teleplan system.
Services billable to WorkSafeBC include both MSP fee items (e.g. office visits) and fee items unique to WorkSafeBC (e.g. fees for submitting Forms 8 and 11). See Form 8/11 Completion Guidelines (PDF 46kb) on how to bill via Teleplan or view the WorkSafeBC Physician Reference Guide (PDF 150kb). Premiums including those for electronic submission of invoices and Form 8/11s will automatically be calculated and paid by the system.

If your billing is held or rejected by WorkSafeBC, an explanatory code will be received from MSP explaining the situation. These MSP reason/refusal codes (PDF 76kb) are current as of September 6, 2002.

As a provincially legislated body, WorkSafeBC is GST exempt; PST, however, is payable when applicable.
WorkSafeBC has developed electronic forms in conjunction with the BC Medical Association and BC Chiropractic Association for the submission of medical information to WorkSafeBC.
