Our research partners

School of Population and Public Health
WorkSafeBC and the UBC’s School of Population and Public Health have partnered to support workers' compensation-related research with a goal of gaining insights into the broader health, social, and economic effects of workplace injury and the claims adjudication process. The Partnership for Work, Health and Safety (formerly the WorkSafeBC-CHSPR Research Partnership) brings together policy-makers, researchers, and data resources from both organizations to address current and emerging issues of work-related health and safety in B.C. Findings generated by the partnership are intended to reach a wide audience, including WorkSafeBC, other workers' compensation boards, policy-makers, clinicians, researchers, employers, and workers. For more information about the partnership, visit the partnership’s site at www.pwhs.ubc.ca.

Michael Smith Foundation for Health ResearchMichael Smith Foundation

The Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research (MSFHR) was created to advance clinical, biomedical, health services, and population health research in B.C. Together with WorkSafeBC, MSFHR offers awards for research trainees pursuing studies related to WorkSafeBC's mandate and research priorities. The partnership expands opportunities for B.C. trainees preparing for careers as independent health researchers and assists WorkSafeBC in designing evidence-based policies and prevention programs. Awards are available at the junior and senior graduate studentship levels. Further information about the WorkSafeBC/MSFHR partnership is available on the MSFHR web site at www.msfhr.org.
