Hire a Worker

WorkSafeBC's Hire a Worker program is a free service designed to benefit both B.C. employers and injured workers.

Workplace injuries can sometimes prevent workers from returning to their pre-injury employment — despite a worker's level of skill and experience. In those cases, workers are often able to apply those skills to new career paths.

Hire a Worker allows employers to submit job opportunities online to connect with job candidates in the vocational rehabilitation program. Employers hiring through WorkSafeBC help injured workers secure suitable employment opportunities while saving on the usual costs associated with advertising, recruitment, and training. In addition to these savings, employers can benefit from WorkSafeBC cost incentives.

Submit job opportunities online

Once we receive your job opportunity submission, vocational rehabilitation consultants (VRCs) will review client lists and identify possible candidates who match the requirements. The VRC will contact you if there are suitable candidates and fax you their resumés. After you review the resumés, you decide whether to proceed with any interviews.
