As a qualified, registered psychology advisor, you will work within WorkSafeBC's Worker and Employer Services division as part of an interdisciplinary case-management team, focusing on the safe, timely, and durable return-to-work of injured workers.

As part of your duties, you will:

  • Engage in collaborative, proactive, individual case consultations, planning, and monitoring (along with other health care providers)
  • Assess injured workers to provide diagnostic, goal-oriented outcome analyses
  • Offer educational presentations to staff to promote the concepts/practices of case management

As a qualified candidate, you ideally possess:

  • PhD in psychology
  • Eligibility for registration with the College of Psychologists of B.C.
  • Minimum two years' recent, related experience
  • Problem-solving skills in a multidisciplinary case-management setting
  • Additional training/experience in complex psychological assessments, in a medical-legal context
  • Expertise in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of chronic pain and psychological reactions to adult injury/trauma
  • Familiarity with Windows and Microsoft Office
