WorkSafeBC is looking for professional, qualified engineers, with 4 – 5 years’ practical experience, who are members of, or eligible to register with, APEGBC.
Noble Work. Working within the Investigations Division, you are a strong team player who will work with prevention officers and other occupational health and safety professionals towards making a difference in the community and the safety of all workers in British Columbia. You provide expert technical advice regarding the safe design, use, maintenance and operation of tools, machinery, equipment and structures to foster the prevention of workplace injuries and disease.
Solving the Puzzle. You enjoy conducting complex and detailed work and solving the puzzle to determine the cause of a workplace accident. Your project based work will include participating in thorough investigations of fatal and serious accidents to determine cause. You have the ability to communicate your findings with confidence, delivering presentations and reporting to industry stakeholders and the public.
