Improving Access and Understanding
The BOD is in the process of examining different ways to make the Occupational Health & Safety Regulation more accessible and understandable.
Most recently, WorkSafeBC has translated key Occupational Health and Safety publications into Punjabi, Spanish, Vietnamese and traditional Chinese. These documents can be viewed here.
Also, following the 2007 review of Part 26 (Forestry) of the Occupational Health and Safety Regulation, plans for a pilot project are underway for the development of user-friendly tools such as industry specific booklets for the forest industry.
